President’s Report
Our new season begins on Sunday, September 13th, with our traditional
Water Ceremony and we welcome all of you to be with us. Our new
minister, the Rev. Lara Hoke, will be leading the service and she brings a
wonderful new energy to our congregation. She is a graduate of Cornell
University and the Harvard Divinity School. She is a US Navy veteran and
has worked with youth groups in the central Mass. area. She has worked as
a hospital chaplain and as a minister of a UU congregation in the Worcester
area. She brings a wealth of experience, skills and enthusiasm and we
hope you will join with us in welcoming her to our community.
Rev. Hoke will be with us every other Sunday and on alternating Sundays, we will continue to be
lay led. Our hardworking Worship Committee already has a unique line-up of interesting speakers
and topics so please watch the Plumb Line for a schedule. This year looks to be exciting in every
way and we hope you can be with us as we continue our spiritual and communal journey.
