Orientation

Description: Please join us on March 28 for an orientation session, to be held directly after the worship service.
We will share our spiritual journeys, talk about Unitarian Universalism, and about how our
congregation works. Rev. Lara Hoke, Director of Religious Education, Thea Shapiro, and a few
UUCiA members will be there, and we\’ll try to answer all your questions. A light lunch will be

there are also very few copies available through our regional library system. Therefore, we are
postponing our discussion until Tuesday, March 16th at 7:30 p.m. April\’s book is Forever by Pete
Hamill. Have you read a good book recently that you think would lead to interesting discussion?

Last Wednesday, February 17, was Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. Lent, of course, is the Christian season of 40 days (excepting Sundays) leading up to Easter, and it is traditionally a time of sacrifice and taking stock in one’s life. (more…)

Retreat: Cape Cod Sea Camps

One of the UUCIA’s favorite traditions is the all ages annual retreat.

Who, what, when and where?

Members and friends of the UUCIA share a fun, relaxed weekend Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 6 at Cape Cod Sea Camps, on the shore of Cape Cod Bay in Brewster, Massachusetts. Activities include beachcombing, tennis and biking to evening conversation and a talent show. For many, the highlight is an outdoor worship service on Sunday morning.

What are the accommodations and how much does it cost?

This year, there are is just one type of lodging available: Semi-private rooms in a heated cabin provide dormitory-style sleeping accommodations with bunk beds, shared bathrooms and showers. Lodging costs, though modest ($30 per person per night) should not be an obstacle to anyone’s attendance. Financial assistance is available.
